1919
The history of the company dates back to 1919, when Ioannis Feidas started manufacturing handmade leather shoes in Kalamata, Messinia, after returning from his twelve-year stay in America as an immigrant, where he honed his craft in shoemaking. He laid the first foundations by building a large customer base and establishing a distinguished name in the local community.
Later (1935), his son Dimitrios Feidas, with great talent in the fine arts and painting, learned design, the art, and the creative craftsmanship of shoemaking, managing to become even better than his father.
After World War II
After World War II, Dimitrios Feidas started again from scratch, as everything had been destroyed in Greece. Thus, along with his wife Maria Feidas, a very clever and dynamic personality, they moved to Athens (to the Psiri area, a popular spot for the entire industry at the time), where they opened their first small workshop.
1956
Mina Feidas married Ioannis Ntai (1956), a very hardworking and visionary man with modern views for his time, who put all his efforts into the business, resulting in even faster and greater progress for the workshop at that time.
1961
After many years of hard work and sacrifices, the first privately owned factory was built in 1961 in Lambrini (Ano Patissia), a 2,500 sqm building. This marked the transformation of the small workshop into a shoe manufacturing industry.
1968
In 1968, the company evolved into a public limited company, under the distinctive title "D.I. FEIDAS S.A.", a form it still retains to this day.
1970
Since 1970, the company became an exporter to Germany (to the houses Salamander, Batta, Daihman).
1974
In 1974, the second privately owned factory was built in Acharnes, a 7,500 sqm building, as D.I. FEIDAS S.A. expanded its production and customer base (5,000 pairs/day – 800 clients), not only in Greece but also in many other countries, such as Russia (with major wholesalers) and the United States (department stores like NORDSTROMS, LARRY’S), positioning the company as the largest manufacturing industry in the sector. Since 1984, the company has created the product brand name "Boxer."

The second son of the family, Panagiotis Ntai, followed the Economic sector with a specialization in marketing and management, and essentially represents the fourth generation of the company D.I. FEIDAS S.A.
2006
In 2006, as CEO, Panagiotis Ntai took over the supervision of the entire process of construction and production organization of the 3rd privately owned factory of D.I. FEIDAS S.A. in the industrial area of Acharnes, in a 12,500 sqm building. It has the capacity to produce 8,500 pairs/day, equipped with the most modern machinery, specialized staff, design studio, and product research, offering exceptional working conditions and meeting all European environmental standards (ISO-9001, continuously since 2002). The inauguration of the new factory – one of the largest and most modern factories in the industry, with an investment of approximately €18,000,000 – took place in 2010.
The constant concern of all the employees and partners of our company is to maintain the quality of the name Boxer – D.I. FEIDAS S.A., which for over 100 years has represented: Comfort, Quality, Excellent Materials, and now, Fashion, both in footwear and leather accessories, "Boxer Leathers."
